Rams Score 14 in Fourth Quarter, Beat Eagles 24-20

The Rams scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter Sunday, erasing a 20-10 halftime deficit to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-20.

The comeback pushed Los Angeles to 2-2 and dropped the Eagles to the same mark, keeping both clubs in the early NFC mix after a game that tilted the Eagles’ direction for three quarters.

Philadelphia built its halftime lead with help from two Matthew Stafford interceptions, which led to 10 Eagles points. The Rams entered the fourth quarter trailing by 10.

A critical sequence came when the Eagles reached fourth-and-goal from the Los Angeles 2-yard line. Jalen Hurts’ pass was off target and incomplete to Darius Cooper, keeping the Rams within striking distance.

Los Angeles answered with a 10-play, 98-yard drive that Kyren Williams finished with a 1-yard touchdown run with 3:59 remaining to make it a one-score game.

After forcing a Philadelphia three-and-out, the Rams took over at their own 21-yard line. Williams again found the end zone on a 7-yard run with 1:10 left, giving Los Angeles its first lead at 24-20.

The Eagles had no timeouts on the final drive and moved backward. Hurts was sacked twice, and his deep fourth-down pass was broken up to effectively end the game.

Philadelphia’s offense stalled repeatedly: the Eagles converted 0-of-12 third downs and 1-of-4 fourth downs, and they have now converted just 2-of-21 third downs over the past two weeks. They finished with 172 total yards, 12 first downs and 3.0 yards per play.

Hurts completed 12 of 27 passes for 93 yards with two touchdowns. The Eagles, already missing several key offensive players, lost Saquon Barkley early to a hamstring injury; Tank Bigsby also exited the game.

Stafford finished 32-of-51 for 317 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. Puka Nacua, playing for the first time since Week 1, caught nine passes for 125 yards. Williams rushed for 80 yards on 16 carries and caught 10 passes for 67 yards.

Now at 2-2, the Rams host the Bills on Monday night next week. The Eagles, also 2-2, travel to London to face the 3-1 Jaguars in Week 5.
